What Causes Blisters Over A Bruised Area On The Leg?
Fell off a small ladder on Sunday. I have a contusion and was x-rayed with no broken bones. After one day I some blisters on the bruised area. Iced and elevated my leg for 24 hours and now using warm baths to soak. Do I need to be concerned about the blisters? Should I see my doctor and re-examine after a few days. Thanks.

What Causes Blisters Over A Bruised Area On The Leg?
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic Blisters can form on damaged skin, it is not an unusual reaction. You can consider monitoring the blisters for now. They should not be purposely punctured, this can increase the risk for infection. The area should be kept clean and you can consider gently applying topical antibiotics at least twice daily eg fucidin, neosporin, bactroban Using an anti inflammatory pain killers would also help eg naproxen, cataflam, ibuprofen even if there is no significant pain present. I hope this helps
