What Causes Bloating In The Lower Abdomen After A Colonoscopy?
I am 76 years old; last colonoscopy was at age 75 ( clear); recently ( last several weeks ) have noticed daily gas build-up in lower abdomen and some gas in upper abdomen; starts about mid day and lasts into the night, Meds : something for thyroid( hyper ) and blood pressure plus flecainide, diltiazem and pradaxa for afib ( have pacemaker too ) . Also take supplements and fiber. Any thoughts ? YYYY@YYYY
By your history and description, the possibility of gaseous distention is more likely. It is mostly due to indigestion. So take Pantoprazole (antacid) and Levosulpiride (prokinetic) combination.
Avoid oily and spicy food. Drink plenty of fluids orally. Go for walking after meals. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Kaushal Bhavsar,
Pulmonologist
