What Causes Bloating Inspite Of Being On Nexium?

I have been taking Nexium for about 10 years. I started on 40mg per day and then went down to 20mg per day. I have been having serious bloating problems. During the last month I couldn t afford the Nexium any more so I changed to Lansoloc OTC, which is much cheaper. I find to my intense delight that the bloating has disappeared and my abdomen is now more or less where it should be! The Nexium was prescribed because I had an ulcer. Will it be okay for me to continue using Lansoloc OTC?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If you are experiencing relief with the lansoloc then you can continue to use it.

This medication is in the same family of drugs as the nexium though the medications would vary slightly in different ways.

It can be used for the same conditions as nexium.

I hope this helps
