General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
I had gone through your query and understand your concern.

Thanks for asking on HCM.

GERD is known to cause bloating. In GERD there will be reflux of gastric contents into esophagus which burns out the mucosa of esophagus. When exercise it may lead to increased acid secretion due to stress which further increases GERD. This again leads to bloating. Try to drink cold water, juice. Avoid spicy food, coffee. When you exercise try to relax in between and drink cold water. Better take Antacid drugs before exercise. This may help.

If you have any other query, feel free to ask.

Regards,

Dr. Prathap Kumar
