What Causes Bloating, Weight Gain And Loose Bowels On Taking Probiotic Powder?

I took a powder pro biotic for about a month at a low dose but since then I have experienced severe bloating, weight gain (at least 16 pounds), and loose bowel movements. Is there anything that can kill the good bacteria off so that I can live normally again? Thanks for your input.
