What Causes Blockage Of The Brain Receptors After Taking Nexito?

Hi a i am 23yr old women done msc from du from last yesr i had panik attacks and panik disorder my life is just destroyed . My brother insisted me to visit doctor . Doctor prescribed nexito 5 i took that for 6fays and stopped how long will it side effects lasts also this medicine block receptors of brain so how long it take them to unblock or become completely normal or is that not possible Please reply Thanx

Nexito contains escitalopram. It is used for treatment of depression. Escitalopram selectively inhibits CNS neuronal re-uptake of serotonin (5-HT) and potentiates serotonergic activity. High serotonergic activity is needed for anti-depressant effect.
Duration of treatment depends upon your symptoms. If you are responding then it’s good. But there should be a sustained response. On stoppage of Nexito, there might be relapse of depression.
Advice
1.     Continue Nexito 5 mg as suggested by your doctor. It will help you in recovering from depression. Take at least for 2 months
2.     Add tablet Restyl 0.25 mg daily orally at bed time for 1 month
3.     Start workout in gym at least half an hour in a day for 5 days in a week
4.     Do meditation
5.     Keep in touch with your psychiatrist
