Unable to afford an MRI, my doctor has ordered an ABR test, and I m concerned we re on the wrong track. My right nostril has always felt more blocked than my other. And now my right ear feels blocked since January. A recent visit to my ENT discovered that a 25 decibel hearing drop in my right ear. (Last hearing test 2 years ago.) This is my tinitus ear (since 1997) and I feel like the Doctor ignores anything I have to say because of that fact. (He didn t examine my nose.) In my teens I had a nose job , but no accidents or injuries to my nose. Could a deviated septum be causing my ear to feel blocked?
You may have deviated nasal septum towards right which may lead to right nostril block which again gives rise to right eustachian tube block lead ear pain. At least get an X-ray (para-nasal sinuses). In case of gross deviation may need surgical correction. Use water vapor inhalation thrice a day for five days. Use tablet Lecope-AD for five days. If symptoms have not improved, please review with reports and consult with your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
