What Causes Blocked Nose And Throat Pain?

Hi Good Morning All, I am having Throat and Nose problem from past two years. My nose will be blocked all the time, and my throat will be always paining and i have swalloing porblem also. i have consulted many doctors till now, but no iprovement. One doctor has suggested me that, extra flesh formed in nose and has to be operated. And i use to smoke 4 to 5 cigarettes per day and i take limited alcohol once in a week. Now what is my doubt is, will this throat infection becomes throat cancer just because its not cured from long time? Thanks Pratap

If your throat has been causing pain persistently for 2 yrs then you should be evaluated by an ENT doctor.

Though cancer is not a common cause for throat pain an ENT doctor will be able to rule it out for you.

The symptoms of nasal congestion, throat pain may be in keeping with allergic rhinosinusitis ( allergies of the nasal passages and sinuses).
This would be treated with oral antihistamines , topical steroid nasal sprays and decongestants.
