General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Such problem is common after normal vaginal delivery (as the vagina is stretched a lot during child birth) and it fails to recoil due to muscle weakness. Please try perineal exercises (to tighten and pull up perineum while inhaling and to relax while exhalation). Please do it under doctor's or physiotherapist observation.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
