What Causes Blood After Urinating?
Hi & Welcome. I appreciate your concern for your beloved mother. Apparently it is caused by the drug Coumadin. Bleeding is an important side effect of blood thinner Coumadin. Bleeding from the nose, mouth, vagina, rectum or through urine, bleeding from the wounds or needle injections, etc and it usually does not stop. She must be examined by her treating doctor to adjust the dose of Coumadin so that the following lab tests are maintained in their normal ranges: 1. Prothrombin Time: 1.5-2.5 times normal 2. Internataional Normalized Ratio: 2.5-3.5 times normal Hope to have answered your query.
