Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter was diagnosed with cdif over a month ago she was treated and released with a strong antibiotic she had also had significant blood in her stool. She is a lot better but recently her stool has a strong odor like ammonia maybe what could this be
As long as your daughter has normal bowel movement, no pain, no fever, and no blood or mucus in the stool, there is nothing else needed but just watch how she will be in the next week or so. If she gets any abdominal pain, the bowel movement changes or there is blood or mucus in her stool she will need to see her doctor.
I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General and Family Physician
