What Causes Blood And Mucus In Stool Despite Suffering From Respiratory Infection?
I was recently diagnosed with an upper resipatroy infection. I took predisone for 3 days, antibiotics which I am just finishing and albuterol inhaler. However my cough was so severe that my stomach hurt so bad that I thought I pulled something. Now I noticed today that I had bloody mucus stool. Could this be from all the meds and coughing? I don t take a lot of medication hardly ever.
Hi, antibiotics can alter the pattern of bacteria helping in digestion and so that can result it gastric disturbances- constipation, diarrhoea acidity etc. Is the blood colour is red, then it is fresh blood which may come due to tear in anal area because of constipation. So donot worry, take Rablet along with antibiotics. If not releived you should consult your doctor for further checkup and reports.
