What Causes Blood And Mucus In Stool?

Hello, I'm a 22yr old female and I've noticed that ever since I han a appendectomy in September 2008 there has been bright red bood in my stool along with mucus. I also as of recently I have had reacurring lower abdominal pain that lasts about 4 min then go away and return sometimes much more painfull. I also have tiredness, mild headaches, dizzyness and sometimes weakness please help!!!
