Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Despite cleaning behind my ears, my right ear has gotten raw where it attaches to my head. It seems to get something like a blister which is usually filled with blood, which bursts periodically. I try keeping it clean but it doesn t seem to want to heal. What would cause this?
The symptoms you mention in query are probably due to abscess formation . An abscess develops when tissue or cells in an area of the body become infected. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination and to rule out condition like lymphadenopathy . Swelling in lymph nodes is the result of an infection. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( amoxicillin ) at least for week . For nor try to keep it dry and take tylenol for pain and swelling .
Hope your concern has been resolved. get well soon. Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
