What Causes Blood Blisters On Labia After A Child Birth?
Should I be concerned I a 4 small blood blisters on my labia. I also just had a baby 8weeks ago. I noticed them right after I had my child. They might have been there right before she came I was not really checking down there towards the end of pregnancy
Blood blister in the labia is commonly caused allergies or infections. Since its after child birth the cause can be tear, bruises or bleeds due to thinning of the skin. Apply ointment Neosporin or Soframycin in the area affected. Wear cotton clothes, take care of your hygiene. It should heal in a couple of days. However, if it takes time to heal it may be due to STI, get STD tests done to stay on the safer side. Get treated at the earliest.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
