What Causes Blood Clot Discharge From Penis During Urination?
My husband woke up this morning to pee and he said blood sprayed out. There was even a few small blood clots and then towards the end of his pee it turned back to a wee colour. I saw what came out and it seemed like a lot of blood and it was everywhere, on the walls a bit and all over the toilet. What could this possibly mean?
Your husband is suffering from blood clot discharge from the penis during urination. Your husbands symptoms are indication of UTI(infection), enlarged prostate, bladder or kidney stone, kidney disease / injury, cancer, etc.
You are suggested to get your husband clinically examined by a GP / urologist, get all required tests and investigations done like urinalysis (C/S and R/E), cystoscopy, imaging tests (CT & MRI scan), etc. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected and the severity of your illness detected. Your husband will be given conservative treatments and if required he will be suggested surgery by the treating doctor.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
