What Causes Blood Clots During Pregnancy After Child Birth?
Hi. I am 26 years old and just had my daughter 3 months ago. At 6 weeks postpartum, I started having unprotected sex again with my husband, and a few weeks later I went on the birth control pill. I took a pregnancy test before I started the pill to make sure I wasn t pregnant. But now I just started my period for the first tim since having my daughter, and it is more of blood clots instead of a period. I had a big mucous clot that was bloody when I wiped. Could it possibly be a miscarriage, or is this normal for your first period after birth. (I think its important to note that it is 3 days BEFORE my placebo pills, so I am still on the end of the 3rd week of the real pills.

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. First periods after the child birth is usually heavy and full of clots due to endometrial changes after childbirth. It is unlikely to be abortion because the pregnancy test is was negative before starting the oral contraceptive pills and you were on the pills since then.
