What Causes Blood Clots From Anus During Bowel Movement?
Hello my 14yr old daughter just told me she has been having blood clots from her anus when she goes to the bathroom. She feels a sudden need to go but there is only blood clots . She has not had an actual bowel movement in a few days, and this has been going on for weeks!
I really appreciate your concern, it is better to get done the stool examination for confirmation and if it is the blood in stool then it would be matter of concern, in this age group sudden onset of blood stain stool is not possible or it is less likely most of the time it may be menses bleeding and by mistake it was taken as blood in stool, stool examination is the only option to clear the doubt, if it is positive then further investigation may needed.
Hope this information helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Akhtarhusain Shaikh
