What Causes Blood Clots In The Leg And Right Lung After An RFA?

My husband has back problems and was advised to take Fish Oil and Turmeric to help with the pain. he had a back ablation 4 weeks ago. He developed blood clots in the one leg and right lung. The pharmacist recommended that he not take Turmeric. I can not find any information on why he shouldn t be taking it.

FOR BLOOD CLOTS YOUR HUSBAND MUST HAVE BEEN PUT ON BLOOD THINNERS. MOST COMMONLY USED AGENTS ARE LIKE COUMADIN/ WARFARIN. THIS DRUG'S ACTION CAN BE INCREASED OR DECREASED BY CERTAIN FOOD ITEMS. HENCE LIST OF FOOD ITEMS NOT TO BE TAKEN WITH THIS DRUG OFTEN GIVEN ALONG WITH DRUG.
TURMERIC SAID TO BE INCREASE EFFECT OF THIS DRUG SO YOUR PHARMACIST ADVISED YOU NOT TO CONSUME IT EXCESSIVELY.
