Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Blood Clots In The Lungs Of A Liver Cancer Patient?
Yes, I have a friend who has been diagnosed with cancer of the liver and cancer of the colon. She has been taking Chemo for month - now her dr. says she had blood clots in both lungs. She has been put on blood thinners. What would you say the prog. is for this type of cancer
I am sorry to hear about his disease. In fact blood clot in the lungs is always serious, however it depends on size of the clot. Unfortunately, the prognosis seems very grim in patients who had cancer that involve more then one organ.
So things looks too serious. He should be given full comfort but prognosis is not good.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman, General & Family Physician
