What Causes Blood Discharge After Urination From Penis?
Hi, my son is 12 and has blood coming from his penis after urinating. It has happened before but not this much blood, no injury, had a sore throat but says it does not hurt now, he is a constant carrier of the worse of the streps. Should I take him to er tonight or wait until morning?

Gross hematuria (visibly seen blood in urine) usually goes away on its own with no problems, but sometimes it's a sign of a more serious condition. In those cases, doctors will treat the underlying cause like kidney stone,Dehydration,urinary tract infection.
since he got a history of urinary tract infection kindly take him to the physician for further management and treatment.
