What Causes Blood Discharge From Penis After Having Sex?
I am discharging blood from my penis. I have been away from home for a week..... had intercourse with my wife when we went to bed last night. I am 70 years old. It has happened in the past, and this morning, after a great climax last night..... the opening of my penis was glued shut by the dried semen..... it burst ... with some pain as I began to urinate and it is still leaking blood some 9 hours later.

Pathologist and Microbiologist, Dr. S. Samanta's Response
Hi! thanks for writing to sharing your problem of hematuria following sexual intercourse!
After going through your history and the present symptom of bleeding per urethra for more than 9 hours, I must consider this as a medical/surgical emergency as I assume the following causes:
1. urethral injury due to forced coitus or forced ejaculation
Therefore, please see a urologist or urosurgeon for a physical examination and few investigations like urine test, urethroscopy and CT scan and you must take medicines to stop the bleeding!
Regards!
