What Causes Blood Discharge In Penis After Discontinuation Of Cumin?

My father has a pacemaker, and in a nursing home, in very poor health, the batterie went dead last week and we were to go see the doc Monday, to discuss getting new batteries. His heart doc, said, taking him off his cumin would be a risk and really did not want to do it. Today he has blood coming from his penis. Can you explain what is going on with him, they are taking him off of his cumiden and aspirin.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the discontinuation of blood thinner is seemingly related to alterations in the platelet functioning and others which will pause bleeding episodes. Kindly get a blood panel evaluation with complete hemogram, bleeding, clotting time, platelet count, activated partial thromboplastin time.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
