Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a 6th month follow up with the Urologist today. He stated that he found micro drops of blood in the urine. I am 60yrs old and have had a total hysterectomy. Dr has scheduled a fisher test. What is this type of test? He also said something about DNA. Why?
Blood in urine can be due to trauma ir injury to the urinary tract. In addition, it can be due to some growth in the urinary tract. I suggest you to get an ultrasound pelvis after consulting your urologist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
