Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband has had a sty on his lower eyelid since this past Saturday and now today there is what seems to be blood in the same eyelid. Should he go see a doctor? He is healthy on no prescription mess. He does currently have a head cold and has been taking suddafed and theraflu since Monday.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns....
As per your complain it seems that you husband have an infected stye as stye occurs due to infection and clogging of oil and sweat glands over the eyelids.. I would suggest you to consult an Ophthalmologist and get evaluated and after a thorough clinical evaluation he can advise him antibiotic and steroid eye drops, a short course of antibiotics oral and doing warm compresses over the eyelids.. Maintaining a proper cleanliness is also a must.. In case if there is no improvement in a week Incision or drainage can be established..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora..
