Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had sinus infection last week. From last I am finding blood in my cough while clearing my throat in the morning only. Now i don t have any complaint regarding sinus pain, no other symptoms as well. But still blood while cleaning my throat in the morning continues. It s only once. Doctor checked my throat, nostrils, ear but didn t find any problem.
It's a good thing that you got yourself examined by a doctor for the issue and he cleared you of any problem for it. As you said you recently had sinus infection and recovered from it. It's more likely that while cleaning your throat you put so much strain and that causes the mucosal injury that leads to slight bleeding. So while you clean your throat next time do it gently and observe it for a couple of days.
Even after doing this it persists then visit an ENT specialist and get yourself examined once more. He will be guiding you better if there is something else causing this thing. Once the underlying cause is found, it will be easy to treat.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Manisha Auradkar,
