Blood mixed with saliva is suggestive of bleeding from Mouth. If you have blood mixed with mucus, you might have bleeding from throat or lungs along with
cough, difficulty in breathing, etc
Source of bleeding from mouth is normally gums or
periodontal pocket. Gums have rich blood supply & can bleed easily when they have slight infection. Also in case of
Hypertension (increased blood pressure) they bleed more commonly.
You should visit a
dentist & he would check conditions of gums. Curettage of gums may be required along with regular scaling. Untill then you could take
metronidazole 400mg thrice a day, it will reduce bleeding from gums.
