What Causes Blood In Sputum?

hello,my 57 year old brother has started to spit up very light blood in his spit when he hacks. Started a few hours back. No pain, vitals good, stomach no pain, urine no blood, stool no blood. Only systems was nose encountering a burning feeling. No chemical utilized to upset this issue.

Hi,

If your father is having blood is sputum then you should go for investigation for tuberculosis which has this symptom. It is done at free of cost at Primary Health Centre and Government hospitals. What you have to do is they give you a sterile cup with lid in which early morning on waking from sleep without brushing teeth a sputum has to be collected and another after brushing. The Govt. facility will do sputum examination and let you know the results. Another is x-ray chest, which will rule out if any other lung disease is there or not.
