What Causes Blood In Stool After A Spleen Laceration?

My boyftiemd was in an auto rollover accident 4 weeks ago and amongst all his injuries he had a small laceration to his spleen. Since being out of the hospital he has had small amounts of blood or spotting in bowels but today he had alot of blood and even when he wiped it was full of blood. What could be the cause?

Hello,
He may have damaged his colon when the spleen was damaged. He needs to see a doctor today for further evaluation. Please ask him not to delay. This could be very serious.
