Hello Sir.
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I can certainly understand your concern.
These side effects are quite common after a colonoscopic procedure.
These effects are due to the removal of the polyps.
This can shed minute blood into the stool.
It will spontaneously subside after few days (1-2 weeks)
Passage of mucous and blood can be reactionary in origin.
Reassessment may be required only in case if an abnormality like Malignancy is detected on histopathological examination.
I generally prescribe a short course of stool softeners like
Lactulose or Isphagula husk at bedtime daily for 1 week.
Thus will reduce the stool symptoms hastening the recovery.
Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these pills to you.
Post your further questions if any.
Thank you.
