What Causes Blood In Stool And Lower Right Abdominal Pain?

I have bright red blood with bowel movement. Blood on stool and on toilet paper.. I have some lower right abdominal pain.. I have had blood on my stool before today but never enough that it was on toilet paper also.. I am also on coumadin so wondered if that could be a problem.

I can understand your concern.
Since you are having lower abdominal pain android blood in stool, there are two main possibilities in your case.
1. Coumadin (blood thinner) related bleeding
2. Colon infection (colitis)
So better to get done ultrasound abdomen and stool microscopic examination.
If these reports are suggestive of infection then you will need antibiotic an probiotic drugs.
But if these reports are normal then possibility of Coumadin related bleeding is more likely. In this case, you need to stop Coumadin for few days.
