Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Blood In Stool And Swollen Feet Despite Suffering From Renal Cancer And Diabetes?
I have bloody stools no pain and my feet are somewhat swollen. I have renal cancer and diabeties. I was recently taken off axitinib because I will be entering a cancer trials. Would the fact that I no longer take axitinib would cause the bloody stools
The following are few conditions where blood in stools is seen: 1) Hemorrhoids 2) Anal fissure 3) Ulcerative colitis 4) Crohn's disease 5) Anal fissure associated with pain 6) Colonic polyps 7) Colon cancer
Swollen feet most probably are due to renal cancer resulting in kidney dysfunction. Axitinib withdrawal is not associated with bloody stools. You need to be physically examined in person to find out the cause of bloody stools. Please do consult a general surgeon for accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
