General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

A common cause of blood in an infant's stool is a slight anal tear (fissure) from baby straining with the passage of the stool.

I recommend a physical examination from a pediatrician to confirm the diagnosis and take proper treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
