What Causes Blood In Stool Of An Infant?

Hi doctor.. My baby is eight months old. He is having blood in stooled and motions and cold. Doctor has suggested colistop .25 dosage and in using it from two days but there is no improvement on my baby. Should I dilute colistop and give him.. please help

Good day and thank you for posting this question. If I were your doctor, I would suggest you give your baby Metronidazole Syrup ( your doctor will calculate the dosage based on age and weight) because your son has dysentary probably due to Amoebiasis. Please visit your doctor. Other things that could cause dysentary in a child of 8 month could be Appendicitis, Intussusception. Your child need a thorough work-up at the hospital.
