Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 28 year old son phoned me today saying that he found blood in his stool this morning and it freaked him out. He said that he has had no physical discomfort. He has been working out quite vigorously for about the past 4 or 5 months trying to build muscle mass. He has also been taking pre and post workout drinks with protein powders. I have read that these supplements can cause bloody stools. Please advise. Thank you.
