What Causes Blood In Stool?

I ve experienced four days of blood on/in my stool when I have to evacuate my bowel. My anus is not sore, does not itch, is not painful. I have recently changed my diet to exclude refined sugars and most starch because of my borderline diabetes. Nothing else has changed in my behavior or eating habits. My bowel movements are very sudden and very crampy , like nothing I ve experienced before. Stupid question: should I wait or see a Dr. on Monday?

Hi,
Well I suppose you can wait and see your Doctor on Monday. Looking at your description, it looks like you are suffering from haemorrhoids. In the meantime, you can increase the fibre content in your diet to maximum so that bulk is added to your stool content. If you still face crampy bowel moments after that or if blood loss is too much, then you can consult your doctor immediately. I would recommend a consultation with surgeon.
I hope the above information helps you. Thanks for writing into healhtcaremagic. Take care.
