What Causes Blood In Stool?

Hi, just had a yearly physical, today i found blood in my stool in the front of the feses where blood this morning. The next bowl movement was okay.... I have an appointment in May for a colonoscopy. I think the food last nite I must have eat something, hot spicy food...... My question can I just monitor . 67 yrs old, had yearly physical for over 15yrs Thanks for answering John Gavin

Hello,

Most probably it will be due to minor internal piles.

It is better to go for a colonoscopy to rule out other cancer like colon cancer.

As of now, you can take laxatives like Lactulose for symptomatic relief.
