What Causes Blood In Stool?

So basically I had blood in my poo about 3 weeks ago it went and then came back so I went to see my doctor who gave me a rectal examination and said I had piles, I also suffered from a feeling like there was a tennis ball in my right side I told him he checked my abodomen and said everything was fine, after taking medication for piles (internal) the bleeding APPEARS to have stopped although I am still on the tablets and sometimes it s difficult to see, however the feeling in my right side is no better and when I strain there is like a swollen lump, I have the lump on both sides is it anything to worry about, I am 19years old

Hi welcome to the health care magic

You are having piles that is called hemorrhoids leading blood in stool

If problem still there after three week then consult surgeon again for discussion of treatment plan

According to degree of severity of piles, treatment planned

Initially for piles, stool softener prescribed along with local anesthetic gel

Avoid excess spicy foods

Avoid straining at stool

Drink more water

Fruits and vegetables consumed more

If no improvement sclerosant injection, rubber band ligation or other surgical procedure planned

Also get investigated with USG abdomen
