Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I first had streaks of blood after I dedicated, nothing major. I thought it was from straining or the stool softener I was using. After going to the doctor, I went to the bathroom and felt something new in the area and realized that it was hemroids & days later there was two possibly. I haven t tried the OTC cream yet, but since I had not yet, should I try the OCT method first or what?
Hi Good to see you concerns about your health. As far as question is concerned, a little more information may be needed for a final opinion but lets try to workout something out of the information provided. Hemorrhoids are classified in to 4 grades depending upon the nature of projecting mass. Upto grade 2 ( mass comes out and regresses spontaneously once the straining is over ) are mostly treated medically or by local minor procedures (like band ligation or sclerotherapy). Beyond that surgical interventions are required as the first choice treatment. In either case you need to visit a specialist in your area for appropriate workup and treatment accordingly. Meanwhile you keep on the use of stool softeners and use excess of fibres in the diet. Wishing you the best of health. Regards.
