What Causes Blood In Stools And Black Spots On Stomach Lining?

37 yr old female, 5'6", 140 lbs no family history of cancer or ulcer. Maternal Grandmother had abcess on transverse colon from infected diverticuli. Pain in upper left stomach area, blood in stool, scope showed small black spots on stomach lining, but no ulcer. Biopsy done to determine infection. Taking nexium for 2 weeks, no more pain or blood. Waiting for cultures on biopsy; scope of colon in 2-3 weeks. What now? Can I return to work as a flight attendant? What are the black spots?
