What Causes Blood In Stools While Jogging For Long Periods?

2 times after running a longer distance I experienced blood in my stool. I experience no other symptoms, no pain, bloating or stomach discomfort. I have been to 2 doctors and both have said hemmroids. They have both said they are internals, as there is no evidence of external. I am 29 hrs old with no previous health issues. Blood pressure and CBC can back perfect. They recommended a colonoscopy just to make sure. Should I be too concerned it could be something more serious?

Hello,

Per se jogging for long periods, do not provoke blood in stools; unless there are severe abrasions of anal skin through friction giving associated fissure or hard stools. Though it is not serious, you have to be punctual to control it with high fiber diet, sitz bath, and further medications as per the clinical grading.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
