Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a truck driver and work nights. I don't have a normal sleep pattern but when I wake up, I have blood in my mouth when I spit. Sometimes it is bright red and other times it is pinkish. I used to have a family doctor but he has moved. I have an appointment at the end of the month to get a new doctor. I don't know if this is something that is urgent or not. It has been happening for several months now and seems to be getting worse. I am also out of breath lately and seem to have no energy. I know my body and it is telling me something is wrong. I have a few bad teeth but no bleeding. I haven't had any surgery lately. I had a mass removed from my jaw in 2011 but was not found malignant. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. I am concerned
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain bleeding from mouth can occur communly due to gum infection and inflammation.. If you do not have any serious symptoms then it can be probably gun related problems.. Other thing that can contribute is mouth breathing that causes continuous exposure of air to inside of mouth leading to irritation and dryness of gums causing gum bleeding.. Consult an Oral Physician or an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated.. If dental problems is not the cause then a General Physician has to be consulted and evaluation of the digestive tract, respiratory tract, sinuses etc has to be done..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
