Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello I am 29 years old, about 5' 10". my weight is approx 275-280 lbs. Every now and then for a few years I get blood on my stool and blood when I wipe myself, I see bright blood, and on a few occasions in the last three years I have seen a dark red with a little bit of mucus on toilet paper, but after wiping again, its gone. Can this be internal hemorrhoids?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, I had gone through the history given here and I could say that what the blood you are noticing on toilet paper could be due to fissure condition and it could be anal fissure, second it could be internal hemorrhoid chances of these both hemorrhoid and fissure are likely with the history of constipation, in female patient it could be due to spotting of vaginal discharge ( You have not mentioned your gender here ) the clinical examination is the option to differentiate all the possibilities hope this information helps.
