Hi and Welcome To HCM.
Thank You for the query
The main concern in your history is the blood in the urine(
hematuria). There are many more reasons to get blood in the urine.
First Of all,I want you to be sure, that's the blood from your urine and not from your vagina.
I want to know, whether, there are any other symptoms along with the increase in frequency, for eg. burning sensation while passing urine, pain in the lower abdomen,
fever,or nausea? if Yes ,then I would diagnose it as a
urinary tract infection.
secondly,I would recommend you,to go for a Urine Examination,as well Urine for culture and sensitivity, before you start off with any of the anti-biotics. This would give the cause of the infection if any,and the type of bacteria you being infected with. This would help in starting off with the specific anti-biotic for the treatment of your Urinary tract Infection.
Thirdly, I would ask you to go for a KUB
ultrasound, which will rule out other causes of blood in urine, for eg.
kidney stones,or bladder stones.
Drink lots of water, drink cranberry juice, tender coconut water.
Avoid intercourse till the symptoms subside, and you're course of treatment
ends.(sexual intercourse at times gives result to recurrent urinary tract infection in females).
Always wipe your urethra(the place from where you pee) in the sequence that you first wipe your urethra, then your vagina, then your butt-hole,never do the vice-versa,as most of the times the bacteria from the butt-hole travels to your urethra while your wiping the other way,and causes Urinary Tract Infection.
Hope this helped. :)
Thank You
Stay Healthy.
