Husband, 69 yrs, had colonoscopy yesterday 2/18/16 as routine checkup. Dr. removed pre-cancerous polyp. He was fine until this afternoon when he had bright red blood in his urine. He says there was a lot. He does have some discomfort in the groin area, but had some discomfort there before the procedure. Not sure if they have anything to do with each other. He doesn t think that pain is any worse today than it was the day before the surgery. Just wanted you to know about that. Is blood in the urine a normal thing following this procedure. He s had several scopes done before without incident.
