What Causes Blood In Urine And Pain On Lower Part Of The Penis?

I m a male of 50 years---I have some discomforts when urinating and I noticed a little blood in my urine. I went to the local clinic and they took a culture of my urine but they called to say there is no active bacteria in my sample. I feel the pain on the lower part of my penis---what could be the source of the blood? I m not running a fever.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Your symptoms could be due to stone/any growth in lower urinary tract, prostatitis/prostate enlargement.
Blood could be due to some obstruction in urinary tract due to above causes
I would suggest to consult urologist and undergo detailed examination, USG scan if needed, rectal examination, serum PSA test.
Specific treatment depend on cause
Meanwhile take
Tablet ibuprofen, prescribed cefuroxime
Drink plenty of water and juice of cranberry, orange and pineapple
Hope this may help you

Contact further if follow up needed
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
