General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Diverticulitis may cause blood with the stools but not blood with the urine. She will need to investigate the mass she is having. Sometimes cancer may affect the coagulability of the blood and may cause bleeding in different areas, as it may have happened in her case.
She will need some blood tests as well to check the coagulation factors and other related indexes.

I hope this is helpful and answers your query.
I remain at your disposal in case further assistance is needed.

Regards,
