General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

The commonest causes of blood in urine and stool can be one of the following:
Bleeding disorders.
On blood thinner medications.
Cancer involving the bowel and bladder.
May not be related to colonoscopy that was done 1 month ago.
I would advise you the following:
Consult your Surgeon again for proper clinical evaluation, examination and necessary investigations:
Tests of blood particularly for Bleeding time, clotting time, prothrombine time and other investigations as needed.
Ultrasound or preferably a CT scan of abdomen.
Tests of urine.
Tests of stool.
Relevant endoscopies like colonoscopy, cysto-urethroscopy.
All these will help to pinpoint the cause and thus allow proper management.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
