What Causes Blood In Urine And Whitish Penile Discharge?

Hello Doctor, I have been experiencing a discharge of a white substance from my penis. When I urinate, I think I see a faint color of blood sometimes. I am not sexually active and haven t been since a year before my wife died in 2009. I had my first UTI about three years ago and it has been an occasional problem ever since.

I have read your description and understand your concern.
Blood in urine with penile white discharge is indicative of urinary tract infection.
Kindly get the following investigations done.
1. Urine routine examination and its microscopy.
2. Urine culture and sensitivity.
Depending on the organism isolated and its sensitivity to medication, you need to take a course of oral antibiotics. Along with it, drink good quantity of water and citrus fruit juices.
It would be better to get your prostate examined by consulting Urologist. Avoid any form of sexual activity till the symptoms subside completely.
