Diabetologist 's  Response
Dear Madam,
You just told the answer.Smart lady i must say! With the given history the most possible diagnosis is renal stones and may be one is coming down the ureter. The next most common cause would be urinary tract infection. Both these are common causes. Does he have fever? Its time to get an usg abdomen to look for stones and urine culture if ultrasound is negative. Please take him to your nearest physician for careful personal examination and appropriate management.
Wishing your husband a speedy recovery!
